THANK YOU EVERYONE!

ART VISIONS 2008, 2009, and 2010 were all great shows! In those years art work came from all across the country with 800 images being submitted from Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia and the Yukon, Washington and Alaska. Each year 60 to 80 entries were accepted, awards were presented, people came, art sold and publicity was obtained for our visual arts community.

Due to the generosity of our donors, we were able to present 7 to 10 awards each year, with an aggregate value of $22,500. Double the total artist submission fees, this represented a significant net financial input to our visual arts community in addition to the value of the sales.

However, success comes at a price. Art Visions depended heavily on volunteers to organize and man the shows. Ultimately it became apparent that our chapter had too few members to continue indefinitely and the decision was taken not to continue in 2011.
